It's that time of year again when things start to get very busy in the build up to Christmas.
This year's no exception and we've some great things lined up over the next month or so.
One of the things we'd planned for some time was a get together in Manchester for family and friends to help celebrate our 50th birthdays (mine's actually still a month off but we thought we'd try and split the difference between mine and Viv's).
So wanting to do something a bit different last weekend 15 of us gathered at Fazenda in Manchester for an evening of meat, meat, a bit more meat (actually a lot more meat!) some drinks and some laughs.
Fazenda's a great experience and as we were "off duty" that night we haven't done a review but we intend doing so at some stage.
Basically its a classic Rodizio restaurant but done superbly well and we were looked after brilliantly (with a big thank you to Mirjam and the team) with most of us keeping our cards green side up for most of the evening!
We decided to stay over and so we made a bit of a weekend of it though didn't get too much of a chance for the Christmas Market on the Sunday - guess we'll just have to go back!
So the first of about 3 or 4 busy weekends done.
This weekend we've been busy with the Christmas cakes again - and doing our present wrapping how's that for being efficient!
